Walking the Runway
Models fall over on the runway all the time.
They say that its part of the show. They tell them to get up and work the stage so fabulously that no one cares that they ever fell over most embarrassingly in the first place.
You’re the model. Your life is the runway.
You will fall when the runway is not smooth or too smooth. You will fall if another model walks into you or falls over you or didn’t make the turning at the right angle. You will fall because your shoes decided to disgrace you and a buckle came off or the sole slid off. You will fall because you tripped or slipped. You will fall because you were over-confident and dragged your steps and didn’t stride and glide when you were supposed to. You will fall because accidents happen. You will fall because life happens.
It’s part of the show. Get back up and work the stage like nobody got nothing on you. Walk like you’re a star and dazzle because that’s what stars do. Own the stage because you deserve to be there. No one gets booed off the stage because they fell. They get carried off because they cannot get back up again.
Don’t stay down. Keep walking. And don’t apologise for falling. You don’t have the time to reprimand yourself for falling either. You own the runway. Walk like there’s no one else on it with you. They don’t matter. Do what you came to do with a spring in your steps, and with all the swag you can muster.
Walk away with no regrets. There’s no time for that.
