If Life is A Race, Where is the Finish Line?
“Life is a race. If you don’t run fast, you’ll get trampled.”Virus. 3 IDIOTS.
Before we heard this from Virus and his funny moustache, we’ve been hearing it for so long, we all somehow agree it is true. Maybe you were first told in school by your teacher? Or some rich relative? Your friends maybe? Or your parents even?
Okay, please answer me this: How is life a race? Where are we running to? Our deaths? I mean, if you really think about it, no one wants to run to their deaths. So, again, why exactly are we running? Why aren’t we casually strolling to the last second of our lives? Why are we in a hurry to die?
Well, I dunno about you lot but I’m taking my time.
My life is my journey. So far, I’ve learnt that speed doesn’t mean anything. There are seasons to your journey as there are levels to your growth. The way I understand it, you can’t skip the classes of your life. When you think you do, you come back to face that particular subject/course you didn’t want to sit in class for. Those lessons you refused to learn come back and bite you on the nose and stay pecking on your face until you acknowledge them. But, at the end of the day, your choices win. They may not always be right but they are loud enough to be heard.
All I’m saying is if you want to keep running, please go for it. I dunno what is chasing you. As for me, I’ll be chilling because I’m not in a hurry to meet my finish line.
