How am I seeing Liam Neeson's face on Frank Lampard's?
His mother died when he was 12 years old
His father started raising the five of them y himself
His two younger ones were 10 and 8 years old respectively
The older ones were already in secondary school
They were aged 12 and 15 respectively
He ought to have been in secondary school
I have 2 uncles, B & G. Both failed incredibly in their O-levels. Both came to Nairobi in their mid-30s. Both got hired in the same restaurant. Both were paid the same salary. Today, one of them is an accomplished manager. The other, a lip service merchant in the village.
Tha fact that we have gone from 5+ pills as a daily regimen to 1 pill daily regimen and now to potentially 1 injection a month for HIV is a testament to science. I am in awe.
Or when these positions open up, they hire from outside first because for them, if someone doesn't have experience in that Position already, you assume nothing in their current skillset qualifies them for it.
This sucks.
Feels like an Abroad/White people thing, where someone starts off as your Assistant, and in 2-3 years gets promoted to a Senior/Leadership position.
Because in this here Nigeria, people like to tell us their Assistants have been in that role for 10 years.
